Erica & Scott | Arlington Park Race Track Engagement
I had a great time with Erica and Scott during their engagement session! They decided to go with Arlington Park Race Track because it's a very special place for them (not to mention beautiful!). Erica's family has horses that race there and have been going frequently for many years!
How cool that the mascot had a Batman cape... and Scott just so happened to be wearing his Batman shirt!

They were such troopers, it was SO cold and windy that morning! On the bright side, they did get to snuggle a lot to keep warm, and Catherine has the most AMAZING wind hair I've ever seen.

Christina and Alana | Engaged | Chicago, IL
I'm so excited to share Christina & Alana's sunrise engagement session!
I know what you are thinking... why in the world would someone want to do a session at 5am? Well, I'd say that 90% of my sessions in downtown Chicago are at sunrise, or pretty close to it. I am able to get shots with beautiful soft light without having to worry about other people in the background of my photos; which is usually the case in the evening. My clients are awesome enough to trust me when it comes to things like this. ;) Although, this time, it was the other way around. Christina and Alana were the ones who suggested a sunrise session. This was the spot where they had their first date. Christina invited Alana to go watch the sunrise with her over Lake Michigan, and the rest is history. I absolutely love it when couples choose locations that are part of their story. And, let's face it, this setting so romantic!
Then the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and allowed me to capture this beautiful silhouette!
And then, five minutes later, because it's Chicago... it rained! But we went with it!!
Kissing in the (sunny?) rain... Seriously, how could you not love these two?
Then we walked back to the harbor for a few more shots.
